Strengthening the Partnership: ACSSO Engages with Federal Education Minister, Hon Jason Clare

At a recent meeting between the Australian Council of State School Organisations (ACSSO) and the Hon. Jason Clare, Federal Education Minister. ACSSO, representing the voices of parents and communities in government schools across Australia, engaged in a constructive dialogue with Minister Jason Clare. ACSSO President Sharron Healy and CEO Di Giblin discussed some of the key issues affecting government schools and explored collaborative avenues to enhance the quality of education for all Australian students.

ACSSO emphasised the critical role of parents as partners in their children's educational journey and talked about the need for increased family engagement and effective communication channels between schools and families.

Additionally, resource challenges facing government schools was also discussed. ACSSO highlighted the importance of equitable distribution of resources, ensuring that schools in all regions have access to the necessary facilities and educational tools. Minister Clare expressed his commitment to working towards addressing these challenges in collaboration with ACSSO and other stakeholders.
