The Australian Council of State School Organisations is the peak organisation for family and community supporters of public education across the nation.

We like working with the media and appreciate the way news media helps families and other interested groups stay in touch with debates and decisions affecting public education.

Our comments are made from a national perspective, but we can also help you get in touch with our state and territory affiliate organisations when you need them. You will find links to the affiliates under the links section of this site.

Some of the major national issues you might want to ask us about include:

• funding public education
• national curriculum changes
• family engagement
• national testing programs
• consistency in school starting age
• national views on volunteering in school communities.
