Minister acknowledges children are being left behind in their educational journey
Minister Jason Clare has recognised that children are falling behind in school and that more students are disengaged than before. There are many explanations for this, but one constant is the absence of family participation in schools. True family participation decreases absenteeism and school refusal and improves children' social, emotional, behavioural, and academic results, according to over 50 years of study. A happy teaching atmosphere will help solve the teacher shortage our schools are suffering. Thus, the Federal Department must engage with ACSSO to determine what is required to quickly enhance the educational experience and results for all government school children. Especially those slipping behind.
