The ACSSO National Conference | School Family Engagement - The Partnership

Held in November 2022 is now available online and on demand.

Partnerships between families, schools, and communities are a shared responsibility and a reciprocal process in which schools and other community agencies and organisations engage families in meaningful and culturally appropriate ways, and families take the initiative to actively support their children's development and learning. Schools and community organisations also make an effort to listen to parents, support them, and provide them with the resources they need to be active participants in their children's school experiences.

Partnerships are critical to assisting young Australians in reaching their full potential, and while parent and community involvement has long been a cornerstone of public schools, increased recognition and support for these joint efforts is required.
