Exciting Updates and Opportunities for Engagement in Public Education
Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope this newsletter finds you well! We have some important updates and initiatives to share, particularly focusing on recent developments in public education and ways for you to get involved in shaping the future for our children.
This term, we're hosting a series of webinars addressing key concerns raised by parents throughout the year. One of the most pressing topics is the challenging behaviours by many young people for many reasons, and the questions that have emerged around the role of school in “teaching positive behaviour”.
We are pleased to have Sharon Foster, Executive Director of Curriculum at ACARA, join us on October 22 at 7 PM to explore this topic in depth. We encourage you to bring your questions, insights, and concerns and be part of this important conversation.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Should social media be banned for young people?
We’d love to hear your thoughts!
There’s been a lot of conversation lately about social media and the impact it can have on young people, especially when not used safely. Most of us know a young person who’s active on social media in some way. Recently, the Federal Government, alongside some state and territory governments, has suggested the idea of banning social media for those under 16. Instagram has also introduced new "teen accounts" aimed at young users. What do you think?
We’d really appreciate it if you could take a moment to share your thoughts by completing this survey. Your feedback matters! Survey closes November 7
