CAUGHT YOU BEING GREAT!
Crookwell High School whose display at the Sydney Royal Easter Show caught the eye of ACSSO CEO. The theme of their display focussed on Mental Health – representing the changes over the years in Mental Health and supporting your mates. They hope that this raises awareness of the need to support our farmers and the country region and their need for mental health supports – whilst also supporting each other – they highlight three groups that have been part of the journey – Quick Shear Inc; headspace and The Man Walk @CrookwellHighSchool
The Students Rural Café
A highlight of the Sydney Royal is the Students Rural Café. The Café is staffed by students from rural; regional and remote locations of NSW studying Certificate 2 Hospitality and Certificate 2 Kitchen Operations. They Come to Sydney to experience commercial service and cooking at the Easter Show. Everything on the set tasting plate is made by the students. The supervising chef and front -of-house manager are also teachers supporting students in the program. The profit from this café goes straight back to the schools involved to support their school programs.
