Walk Safely to School Day

WSTSD.jpgNational Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is on Friday 19 May 2017.

Now in its 18th year, it is a campaign and annual event when all primary school children, their parents and carers are encouraged to walk and commute regularly and safely to school. It is a community event seeking to promote Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment. Have you seen the child safety initiative Streetsmart Handbooks?   They're aimed at 16-17 year old school leavers and also Teachers use it as part of their curriculum in class through out the year. Parents can get a e version copy of the handbook to open up better communication lines at home.

It has 10 different chapters on a host of important life advisory topics from choosing a career path/Entering Tafe/uni/courses of chosen fields,buying your first car, drugs & Alcohol & more.
